Sr. Strategist

We are looking for a Senior Strategist to guide organizations in aligning their business, brand, and culture with their core purpose and long-term vision. Both an analytical and creative thinker, the Senior Strategist seeks to understand challenges, finds opportunities, and delivers insights and effective strategies to drive organizational transformation. They hold the strategic vision across the life of an engagement and champion innovative approaches and outstanding creative work.

This position is based out of our studio in downtown Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and insights process
  • Review, analyze and synthesize business and marketing plans, people and talent management practices, impact and innovation activities & programs, corporate citizenship, and other other strategic client data/information
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data
  • Conduct senior management interviews
  • Devise and execute primary qualitative research (consumer interviews, focus groups, ethnography)
  • Devise and execute secondary research
  • Conduct competitive/comparative analysis, identify global impact and partnership/network opportunities
  • Effectively synthesize, summarize, and structure gathered insights into a rich and compelling narrative
  • Identify global impact and partnership opportunities
  • Prepare strategic brand and impact platforms, including time-bound initiatives and pilots that support the company purpose and further business impact
  • Create compelling presentations that bring the work to life
  • Develop cross-functional implementation of roadmaps along with KPIs
  • Collaborate and inspire creative, digital, strategic, and production teammates to produce highly creative, effective, and efficient results
  • Participate in developing new business opportunities

Experience & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience at an in-house strategy team, business or innovation consultancy, brand agency, or startup
  • Experience leading long-term, multi-faceted, client-facing projects across multiple sectors, including a large-scale consumer brand
  • Experience planning, developing, and executing innovative products, services and programs in the physical, digital, and experiential realms
  • Familiarity with the social impact space and passion for creating positive impact
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree desired
